INTRODUCTION TO BROADCASTING

Basically, broadcasting is an audio or visual source distributions based programming designed to reach the target market that has been determined through radio or television media. Technological advances have led to the "Webcasting" - a form of content delivery that is designed for the Internet. Webcasting is the delivery of information through the Internet. current trend in which companies adapt communications major live or pre-production for penyisipan material on the radio or television broadcast websites that are part of the list there. For example, BBC News televises The Today Show each weekday morning and, in the early evening, features clips from the interview on the show has been given to a webcast on the BBC site partners online. In our country, our local brodcast company has been used variety of mass broadcast technology such as online and live broadcast.


Broadcast Type

There are three basic types of broadcasting:

Satellite
This type of broadcasting distributes content using a signal that is transmitted across a satellite network.

Cable
Cable broadcasting uses cables to transmit content from the cable companes to customer at homes.

Terrestrial
Terrestrial broadcasting uses transmitters located on the ground across service areas.

In Malaysia, There are 3 broadcasting tycoon namely Measat Broadcast Network Service (ASTRO), Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) and Media Prima Berhad (TV3), but a big different among this 3 broadcasting company are Astro is Pay TV company while TV3 is public TV and RTM owned by the government of malaysia.

Although has different in terms of management, all broadcasting companies in Malaysia are bound by rules from Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Kementerian Penerangan Malaysia (MOI) and Film Censorship Board (LPF)
